Department of Life Sciences (B.Sc. CBZ, CBG Group)
The Department of Science offers well-structured B.Sc. programs in Botany, Zoology, and Geology, in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The curriculum is designed to build a strong foundation in life and earth sciences while fostering interdisciplinary learning, scientific inquiry, and research-oriented thinking. As per NEP guidelines, the program incorporates Multiple Entry and Exit options, allowing students to obtain a Certificate after one year, a Diploma after two years, and a Bachelor’s Degree after completing the three-year course.
In addition to core subjects, the department integrates Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) and Value-Added Courses (VAC) to enhance practical knowledge and employability. Students are provided with hands-on learning experiences through well-equipped laboratories and field-based activities, including ecological studies, specimen analysis, and geological fieldwork.The program is designed to prepare students for a wide range of career opportunities in research, environmental conservation, academia, and related industries. Emphasis is placed on continuous internal assessment, project-based learning, and field exposure to ensure holistic academic development.
Candidates seeking admission must have completed their 10+2 (Intermediate) education in the Science stream, with relevant subjects as per the chosen discipline.
