The Sports Department of Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Model College Jagdalpur strives to promote physical fitness, discipline, and overall personality development among students, especially within the unique cultural and geographical context of Bastar. Bastar has rich talent in Sports. We motivate & inspire every student to take active participation in various sports activities including intra and inter collegiate events and show their talent.

The Sports department of our college is headed by the by Sports Officer, Mr. Pawan Thakur.

Our college facilitates kits related to Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Table-Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Carom, Atheletics etc. In order to ensure a sound body and mind, students are given special attention on health and fitness.
We are proud to have quite a few state-level players who have played in the Nationals. We plan to arrange special coaching for them so that they make our nation proud.

Annual sports meet is organised with active participation of students, teaching and non-teaching members of our college.
