The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the college is a vibrant platform that aims to develop students’ personality through community service. Guided by the motto “Not Me, But You,” NSS encourages students to engage in meaningful social activities and contribute towards nation-building.
In the context of Bastar, NSS plays a crucial role in connecting students with rural and tribal communities. The unit actively works towards addressing local challenges such as education, health awareness, environmental conservation, and social upliftment. Through regular activities and special camps, volunteers gain firsthand experience of grassroots realities while developing empathy, leadership, and a sense of responsibility.
The NSS unit organizes a variety of programs including village adoption, cleanliness drives, tree plantation, health and hygiene awareness campaigns, blood donation camps, and literacy programs. Special focus is given to empowering tribal communities, promoting sustainable practices, and preserving the cultural values of the Bastar region.
Participation in NSS not only enhances social awareness but also instills discipline, teamwork, and civic responsibility among students, preparing them to become responsible citizens.
